The Story Behind the Zone

• In 1986, the world witnessed the catastrophic explosion at the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant, one of humanity’s greatest disasters.

• In response, the USSR created an Exclusion Zone—a region sealed off by armed checkpoints, forbidden to civilians, and patrolled by soldiers ordered to detain or eliminate any trespassers.

• Yet even strict laws and deadly warnings cannot keep away the bold and the desperate.

• These wanderers—known as STALKERS—enter the Zone in search of fortune, mystery, and perhaps redemption.

• The Zone itself is no ordinary wasteland. It’s alive with mutants born from radiation, unearthly anomalies that defy physics, and artifacts possessing strange, powerful properties.

• No one truly knows what other secrets it keeps hidden.
