Pokémon Platinum is an enhanced version of the Pokémon Diamond and Pearl games, released for the Nintendo DS in 2008. Set in the Sinnoh region, it builds upon the storyline of its predecessors while introducing new features and legendary Pokémon.
Gameplay
Players embark on a journey as a Pokémon Trainer aiming to become the Champion of the Sinnoh region. They capture and train Pokémon, battle other Trainers, and thwart the plans of the villainous Team Galactic. The game features turn-based battles, exploration of towns and routes, and encounters with wild Pokémon. Players can also participate in various side activities, such as contests and the Battle Frontier.
Unique Points
Distortion World: "Pokemon Platinum" introduces the Distortion World, a surreal dimension where players navigate gravity-defying landscapes and solve puzzles. It serves as a key plot point and provides a unique gameplay experience.
Expanded Pokedex: With the addition of new Pokémon and forms, "Pokemon Platinum" offers an expanded Pokedex compared to its predecessors.
Battle Frontier: After completing the main story, players can challenge the Battle Frontier, a facility offering various battle formats and tough opponents for advanced trainers.
Wi-Fi Plaza: Players can connect online via Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection to participate in the Wi-Fi Plaza, where they can interact with other players, play minigames, and trade Pokémon.
Strategy on Getting All Legendary Pokémon
Dialga, Palkia, and Giratina: These legendary Pokémon are encountered during the main storyline in specific locations. Ensure your team is prepared for tough battles and have plenty of Ultra Balls to capture them.
Regigigas: To obtain Regigigas, players need to have the event Regice, Regirock, and Registeel transferred from previous games via Pal Park. Then, visit the Snowpoint Temple with all three Regis in their party.
Heatran: Heatran can be found in Stark Mountain after completing the Stark Mountain subplot. Bring Pokémon with moves effective against Fire and Steel types to battle and capture it.
Cresselia: Cresselia roams Sinnoh after the player encounters it on Fullmoon Island. Utilize a Pokémon with moves that inflict status conditions to increase the chances of catching it.
Mesprit, Azelf, and Uxie: These Pokémon roam Sinnoh after being released from the Spear Pillar. Use the Marking Map app on the Pokétch to track their locations and have a team ready to capture them.
Legendary Birds and Lake Guardians: After obtaining the National Dex, Articuno, Zapdos, Moltres, and the Lake Guardians can be found in various locations across Sinnoh. Use repels to encounter them easily and have strong Pokémon to battle and capture them.
