FAQ
Q: How does Solo Forge ensure that my personal health data stays private?
A: Your privacy is the cornerstone of the app experience because Solo Forge operates under a strict offline-first model. This means there are no user accounts to create, no external servers storing your metrics, and absolutely no third-party analytics or crash-reporting tools tracking your behavior, ensuring your data belongs to you alone.
Q: I see that the app is open-source; what does that mean for me as a user?
A: Being released under the GPL-3.0 license ensures that Solo Forge remains transparent and community-driven forever. This open-source nature guarantees that the software will always stay free and that its code can be audited by anyone to verify that it is truly protecting your data as promised.
Q: Which intermittent fasting protocols can I track using the application?
A: The app is designed to be highly flexible and supports several popular fasting methods including the 16:8, 18:6, 20:4, and even longer 36-hour protocols. You can easily track these windows and receive smart, state-driven reminders that update based on your actual progress rather than just sending repetitive, pre-timed notifications.
Version History

*0.6.0
Food analysis is more honest about what it does not know. An estimate now breaks the meal into its components, and when something is genuinely uncertain the app says which thing it is — the portion, the cooking method, hidden oil or sauce — and asks for that detail instead of guessing. A single analysis is now one request rather than a silent chain of up to three, and a stronger model is used only when you tap for it. Live fasting and workout notifications also keep counting correctly when the phone sleeps, and they come back after a reboot.
*0.5.0
Active workouts now recover after the app process is stopped, reminders and live notifications are more reliable, and backup, food, fasting, and Health Connect edge cases have been hardened. This release also upgrades the Android build toolchain for continued platform compatibility.
*0.4.2
Photo analysis now uses far less memory: pictures are scaled down as they are read rather than after, which should stop the food camera running out of memory on phones with big sensors. The analyzed photo sent for analysis is unchanged.
The first-run intro screen no longer sits under the status bar or the gesture handle, and the app no longer uses the deprecated edge-to-edge window APIs.
