App offers:
The tracker detection function is actually very simple, it is active scanning
Apple mentions in the software description: If you think someone is using AirTags or other devices to track your location, you can scan to try to find it.
According to Apple's developer page on the Google Play Store, the app was released a few days ago and is 19MB in size. It requires location and pairing permissions with Bluetooth devices to work properly.
App features:
Tracker Detect enables Android users to scan for AirTags or supported Find My Web-like trackers that may be traveling with them without their knowledge.
We are raising the privacy standard for our users and the industry, and hope others will follow suit.
But at present, it should be said that the application function of “Tracker Detect” is still very simple. It is just a scanning program, and users can only actively scan the device. And you can’t actively discover that the device is around.
Reasons to download:
Allows Android users to scan for AirTags around them and play a sound alert if someone has been tracking them for more than 10 minutes.
If Android users think that nearby AirTags have violated their privacy, they can also remove the batteries of the AirTags and completely block monitoring according to the guidance document built into the app.
