The Virtual Power Meter app estimates a cyclist's power output during training by utilizing speed sensor data along with a specific power curve for the turbo trainer. By linking speed information to the trainer's resistance settings, the app generates a virtual power reading, enabling cyclists to track and evaluate their performance without the need for a specialized power meter.

This app is compatible with both ANT+ and Bluetooth LE (BLE) sensors, providing cyclists with flexible connectivity options. It can transmit calculated power data to ANT+ bike computers and BLE-enabled devices, ensuring smooth integration with various cycling gear. Moreover, the app can use sensors from both ANT+ and BLE at the same time, offering users with mixed sensor setups great versatility and compatibility. This feature allows for a thorough training experience by gathering real-time data from different sources, independent of the wireless technology used.

The Virtual Power Meter app holds ANT+ certification, which guarantees dependable compatibility and performance with ANT+ devices. It accommodates a variety of sensor types, such as speed, cadence, combined speed+cadence, and power sensors. This certification ensures smooth data integration and precision when connecting with ANT+ devices, making it an excellent choice for cyclists looking for a reliable and adaptable virtual power measurement solution.

The app is entirely free and does not contain any advertisements.

To use the Virtual Power Meter, follow these steps:

1. Begin by navigating to the Power Curve Profile and Settings sections to configure your power curve profile and other preferences. The Lifeline TT-02 Fluid Trainer power curve is set as the default.

2. Then, head over to the ANT+ or Bluetooth devices section to start a device scan.

3. Select a device to connect and monitor its status. It should display 'CONNECTED' for the chosen sensor device.

4. Exit the Devices activity and select the Power Meter monitor menu item. The app will link to the tracking sensors and be prepared to deliver your workout data.

5. Additionally, you can search for BLE power sensors from any device and connect Virtual Power Meter as a power sensor if needed.
