FAQ
Q: How does Meteobot collect real-time weather and soil information?
A: Once your Meteobot station is installed, its suite of sensors continuously measures parameters such as rainfall volume and intensity, soil temperature and moisture at three different depths, air temperature, humidity, pressure, wind speed and direction, and even leaf wetness. Every ten minutes (or at whatever frequency you choose), those readings are transmitted securely to the Meteobot cloud, where you can view them instantly through your app or web dashboard.
Q: Can Meteobot really track soil conditions at multiple depths?
A: Absolutely. One of Meteobot’s key strengths is its ability to sample soil temperature and moisture at up to three depths beneath your surface. This layered insight helps you understand root-zone conditions, irrigation effectiveness, and potential stress points for your crops. By comparing moisture readings from shallow, mid-level, and deep sensors, you gain a full picture of how water moves through your soil profile.
Q: How often will I see updated data in the Meteobot interface?
A: You decide the frequency, but Meteobot can deliver fresh measurements as often as every ten minutes. This near-real-time stream of data ensures that you’re always working with the latest conditions, whether you’re monitoring a sudden downpour or midday heat stress in your fields. If you prefer less frequent updates, you can adjust the reporting interval to suit your connectivity or data-management preferences.
