TRI is the mobile application for the TRI Card, designed for public transportation in Porto Alegre. With TRI, you can:

As of December 15, 2018, the TRI app has been revamped! It’s now more user-friendly and intuitive. A notable new feature is the GPS function, which enhances your public transport experience in Porto Alegre by providing real-time updates on bus arrivals, lines, and routes.

Available on both iOS and Android, TRI ensures a seamless, convenient, and secure transaction process. Here’s how it works:

Credit Purchase:

You can buy advance tickets or school tickets using either cash or a credit card. Once payment is made, your card will be credited within two business days when used for mass transit. In rare cases, this may take up to four business days. If you have questions about when your credits will be available, the app will notify you.

Balance Inquiry:

You can easily check the balance on your card. The available amount is shown based on the most recent transaction recorded by the system.

Last Usage Check:

You can view the last 10 transactions made with your card, including the date, time, the operating company, bus number, and the amount deducted.

Cancellation and Request for a New Card:

If needed, you can request to cancel your card and obtain a new one. To ensure security, you will need to verify some information, but the process is quick and straightforward. A confirmation protocol will be sent to your email. For school cards, duplicates must be requested through the educational institution.

Contact Update:

By providing your updated information, TRI can reach out to you when necessary, ensuring you stay informed about all services and updates within the system.

GPS Feature

This feature enables you to view arrival estimates and track the bus route in real time. You can also save your preferred bus stops and lines as favorites. Additionally, you can see all the lines that stop at each location along with their travel times.

* Please note that the GPS feature will redirect you to an external application that holds all relevant information.

TRI - Integrated Transportation serves as the electronic ticketing system for public transport in Porto Alegre. With the TRI card, you can access buses, selective stocking, and trains.
