Notes & Checklists

With Memorix, you can quickly jot down notes or create checklists for anything from tasks to grocery lists. Add photos, customize with color-coded categories, and sort them by date, name, or your own preference using drag-and-drop. Checked items can be moved to the bottom or deleted in bulk. For recurring lists, all items can be unchecked with a single tap—ideal for routines.

Reminders

Never miss a task again! Memorix allows you to set one-time or repeat reminders for any note or checklist. You can even pin notes to your status bar for constant visibility, making it easy to stay on track throughout the day.

Vault for Privacy

Got sensitive notes or private images? Store them securely in the Vault. Protected by a password, the Vault ensures that your most confidential content stays private. Just remember your password—there’s no way to recover Vault notes if forgotten.

Backup & Restore

Protect your data with daily automatic backups, or manually back up your notes anytime. Backups are saved locally in your device’s /memorix/backups folder, so you’re always in control. Transferring your data to a new device is easy—just move the backup file and restore it in Memorix.

Widgets for Quick Access

Use widgets to access your notes and checklists directly from your home screen. Tick off checklist items or review reminders without even opening the app. Note: Widgets don’t work if the app is moved to an SD card—keep it on internal storage.

Search & Organization

Use full-text search to find any note instantly. Filter notes by category, reminder status, or other criteria for quick, targeted browsing. You can even undo accidental deletions or restore notes from the trash—except for those in the Vault, which are deleted permanently for your safety.

FAQs

1. Where are the widgets?

If you're missing the widgets, make sure Memorix isn’t installed on the SD card. Android doesn’t support widgets for SD-installed apps. Move the app to internal storage to see widgets.

2. How can I change the order of my notes?

Use the “Sort order” option in the action bar. Select “Sort manually” to rearrange notes by dragging and dropping—just long-press a note until it vibrates.

3. I forgot my Vault password. Can I recover my notes?

Unfortunately, no. For security, notes in the Vault can’t be recovered without the password. You can reset the Vault, but it will delete all Vault content.

4. How does automatic backup work?

Once enabled, Memorix automatically backs up your data once every 24 hours if changes were made. The last three backups are saved to your /memorix/backups folder.

5. How can I transfer notes to a new device?

If using Android 6+ with Google backup enabled, your data (under 25 MB) is restored automatically. Otherwise, manually move your local backup to the new device and restore via Memorix.
